Terms of use
Updated 25 August 2026 · Effective 1 June 2026
In short: use it in good health, do not break the service, and do not treat the translations as gospel.
What this is
vibenglish is an app for learning English words and working through grammar. It is free to use. Creating an account means you agree to these terms.
Your account
- One person, one account. Do not share access.
- You are responsible for keeping the password. If access is lost — write to us.
- You can delete the account at any time: write to contact@vibenglish.app. Only your own progress goes with it.
Your words stay yours
Lists, sets and notes belong to you. We do not publish them, show them to other users, or use them to train models.
There is one exception, and it matters: a word’s translation may enter the shared dictionary and become available to others — but only after an independent second source agrees with it. The word itself is not tied to you.
What you must not do
- Scrape the shared dictionary automatically, or create accounts by script.
- Deliberately spoil the shared dictionary with wrong translations.
- Add abusive content or advertising to the app.
- Try to bypass limits, break the service, or stop other people using it.
We may restrict access for that — and we will try to warn you first.
On translations and audio
Some translations come from a model, some from users. We try to keep them right, but we do not guarantee they are. Do not rely on vibenglish where a mistake is expensive: documents, medicine, law. Found an error — tell us, we will fix it.
Service availability
We do not promise the app runs without interruption. There are updates and outages at suppliers. We try to keep those rare and short, but we guarantee nothing in advance.
Liability
The app is provided as-is. We are not liable for lost profit, lost time, or any indirect loss. What we do promise is to look after your data as described in the privacy policy.
Dictionary sources
The frequency list the shared dictionary is built on is used under the rights-holder’s licence. The full list of sources and licences is available on request at contact@vibenglish.app.
Changes
The terms may change. We will email you about material changes in advance. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.
